Prior to establishing DISCOVER Collection, BB was President of the globally renowned hotel, resort and spa management company, Six Senses Hotels Resorts Spas. BB resigned his position in July 2019, after the company was sold to the InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) in February of that year.
Prior to this his successful 28-year tenure with Six Senses, BB's hotel operations experience included positions with Hilton in Geneva and Hong Kong, Marco Polo Hongkong Hotel, Hotel Vier Jahreszeiten Munich, Hotel Baur au Lac Zurich and The Peninsula Hong Kong, all award -winning hotels noted for their high standard of service and facilities.
A graduate of the prestigious Ecole Hôtelière de Lausanne (EHL Hospitality Business School), BB is serving on the EHL International Advisory Board since 2013, and, in 2014, received the distinction of being awarded the annual Lifetime Achievement Award by this same institution.
In 1994, Mike founded Discovery Land Company, a USA-based real estate developer and operator of private residential club communities and resorts with a world-renowned portfolio of domestic and international properties.

Prior to the formation of Discovery Land Company, Mike was a managing partner at Haas & Haynie, where he was the lead developer and visionary on several high-end projects including The Estancia Club, McDowell Mountain Ranch, Cordevalle Gold Club and Lodge and Blue Oaks Estates.
Mike is also one of the three founders of the Casamigos tequila with George Clooney and Rande Gerber.
